28FEB11: I had the good fortune of meeting Duane during our renovation of 933 Ohio in Lawrence. It is a 101 year old home with approximately 2,500 square feet of Fir flooring which had been covered up with various levels of flooring. We worked hard to uncover the fir and then Duane jumped in. Duane was personable, provided a reasonable bid in a timely manner and did what he said he would do. Duane and Josh worked diligently together. I would recommend Artisan Floors to friends and family. 30DEC10: Artisan refinished the hardwood floors in my home. The hardwoods were covered with carpet and when I tore out the carpet I discovered that the previous homeowners had pet stains, water stains, paint splatters everywhere. I was worried that they were unsalvagable but Duane and crew did a fantastic job. The floors look way better than I ever hoped. I know many friends that have new hardwood floors installed in their house but none of them look anywhere near as beautiful as the 50 year old ones in my house now!

20OCT10: Duane replaced the entire carpeted first floor in our house with hardwood, and the results are outstanding – I couldn’t be happier. At the same time we were remodeling the kitchen and he worked with the contractor to coordinate the installation. This was no easy task as the contractor sub-contracted the majority of the work and some of them were not as dependable as Duane. When Duane said he would do something, he did it, which I really appreciate. The quality of work is excellent. People walk in and can’t believe it is the same house.

23MAY10: Duane and his assistant were very professional and punctual. They moved furniture and removed old carpet before they sanded and they returned on Sunday to replace all of the furniture. 18MAY10: The owner of the company, Duane, worked with one helper. They were punctual, meticulous workers who obviously cared a great deal about their work. First they vacuumed the floors, then used a sanding machine to lightly sand the existing finish, then they even cleaned the floors. They did a terrific job and my floors are just beautiful. They were the best hardwood floor finishers I have ever used.

10MAR10: Overall I love my new floors, after getting an idea of what shade you want (light, medium, dark). Duane brought 3 colors to choose from and puts a little on the floors so you can see what it will look like and then sands it off and applies what you choose which helps a lot. It took 3 days to complete the job and they were on time each day. I thought they were polite and completed the job in a timely manner.

He provided a competitive bid within 2 days and was willing to work throughout the Christmas holidays to meet my short deadline. In less than a week the hardwood floors in my historic home were expertly refinished (3 layers) with amazing results – much better than I expected. Throughout the work the owner and his co-worker were courteous, patient, and professional. I watched their attention to detail, hand-sanding spots with care to ensure an even finish. Despite the heavy snowfall and poor weather, they put in the needed time to complete the work by deadline.

23MAY09: I was in the market to have my hardwood floors refinished and contacted a few companies in the area. All of the companies that came sent a generic sales person to bid the job and returned an estimate to me. When I called Artisan Floor Company, the person that came to my home was the person that was going to do the work. I was able to speak with him, ask questions, and obtain feedback. He was also able to save me quite a bit of money as he believed that my floors did not need to be sanded and finished, but simply needed to be re-coated. My hardwood floors look new again.
