Refinishing

Refinishing:
Welcome to the future of refinishing. We start the refinishing process by abrading your hardwood floor to eliminate any discoloration, dings, or inconsistencies, and to create a solid foundation to assure the best adhesion of your stain and finish. We then move to a finer sandpaper, removing all scratches from the initial sanding. After picking the stain color we then follow this with the application of three coats of high-quality finish. For your comfort, we utilize a dust containment system to help provide a nearly dust-free environment.

There are several options in stain as well as finish. Get the traditional look of oil base with the low odor and quick dry times that water base provides. Both oil-base and water-base finishes are available with a selection of sheens to fit your style.

Recoating:
The recoating procedure for hardwood floors is a cost-effective method of revitalizing worn or dull floors. Instead of paying for a complete refinishing, floors can be brought back to life. Recoating is simply an abrasion of the surface of the floor, thoroughly cleaning and applying a fresh coat of finish. Recoating is a one-day process and the quickest way to get back that “new” look. This is also the perfect time for you to change the sheen of your floors to give the room a completely different appearance. Recoating once every couple of years will aid in keeping those floors looking like new.
